KasaFinder ("we," "us," or "our") operates an online marketplace for real estate in Latin America. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding that information when you use our website, mobile experiences, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. Name, email address, password (hashed), preferred language, and account role (buyer, agent, or organization).
• Phone number. The mobile phone number you provide so we can deliver one-time verification codes via SMS, transactional messages tied to your account or listings, and — only if you separately opt in — marketing messages.
• SMS consent preferences. A record of which SMS message categories you have opted in to (transactional and/or marketing) and when, so we can honor your choices.
• Profile and listing data. Photos, descriptions, pricing, and location of properties you publish or save, along with messages exchanged with other users on the platform.
• Payment and billing data. When you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects card or banking details directly; we retain only the plan, status, and last four digits of your payment method.
• Device and usage data. IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location, collected through standard logs and cookies to keep the Services secure and functional.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

• Create and maintain your account and authenticate sessions.
• Verify your phone number by sending a one-time SMS code through our messaging provider (Twilio).
• Send transactional SMS or email messages directly related to your use of the Services, such as account security alerts, listing activity, or inquiries from other users.
• Send marketing or promotional SMS or email messages, such as new property recommendations and subscription upgrade offers — only if you have separately opted in to marketing messages. You can opt out at any time without affecting transactional messages.
• Operate, maintain, and improve the marketplace, including fraud prevention and abuse detection.
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

3. SMS Messaging and Your Phone Number

We use your mobile phone number to deliver SMS in two separate, independently optional categories:

• Transactional messages. One-time verification codes and messages tied to your account or listings, such as security alerts, listing activity, and inquiries from other users.
• Marketing messages. Promotional content such as new property recommendations and subscription upgrade offers.

Each category requires its own opt-in, and consent to receive SMS is never a condition of creating an account or using KasaFinder. You can opt out of either category at any time by replying STOP to a message in that program, without affecting the other.

We do not share your phone number, SMS opt-in status, or SMS consent with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We share information only in the limited circumstances below:

• Service providers. Vendors that operate infrastructure on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, our SMS delivery provider (Twilio), email delivery, and payment processing. These providers are contractually limited to processing data only as needed to perform their services for KasaFinder.
• Other users, only when you choose. When you publish a listing or send a message, the relevant content is visible to the users you intend to reach. Your phone number is never publicly displayed.
• Legal requirements. When required to comply with a valid legal process, protect our rights, or prevent fraud or harm.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account at any time as described below.

6. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the Internet is fully secure, but we work to protect your data using encryption in transit, hashed credentials, and access controls.

7. Your Choices

• Access and correction. You can review and update most account information from your profile settings.
• SMS opt-out. You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. See our Terms and Conditions for the full opt-out and help instructions.
• Account deletion. Contact us at the address below to request deletion of your account and associated data.

8. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Services.
